“Positive Affirmations – Believe in Yourself!” – with special guest Cindy Lee Yelland
It is my pleasure to share life transforming information and provide you with an opportunity to delete energetic weaknesses to shift challenges into possibilities. Experience instant relief from using your intuition to solve life’s most challenging problems!
Today I’m talking to one of my favorite sisters – Cindy Lee Yelland. Cindy has overcame various physical challenges to inspire others to unleash the Goddess within, through dance. One of her troops – The Loose Hips Sisters Bellydance Club – meets once a week to encourage women (and some brave men!) to dance to the music in their souls. Check out Cindy’s website and see all the cool stuff she’s doing!
After having surgery to have her entire spine fused at the age of 13, and being told she would be in a wheelchair by the time she hit her 30’s – Cindy surprised everyone with her determination to conquer many obstacles and PROVE THEM ALL WRONG! Cindy Lee Yelland dances as the Angel on the Loose, with her 8 foot tall wings, throughout Western Canada. She also has an extensive background in counseling men with abuse, addiction and incarceration issues, as well as training in crystals, Feng Shui and psychic readings.
Throughout our conversation, the topic of affirmations came up, and ultimately, the power of believing in yourself to the extent that you can be in alignment with your goals. Cindy says the key is to actually believe what you think…you can do positive affirmations all you want, but if you don’t believe them – they’re not going to work for you. Now this is something I talk about often when the subject of affirmations come up. You have to be strong to the energy. If you’re weak to specific words in what you’re saying, and/or you say them in a weak state – then naturally that weakens your position even more. You have to know and make sure that you’re energetically in alignment with your statements. I have in my program call to dance, there’s an affirmation with each dragon. The affirmations are designed that as someone repeats the affirmation – if there’s a weakness there, they’re going to notice that and then they’re going to strengthen themselves to that word.
Another point Cindy brought up was that although a lot of people think – in order for things to work out that they have to work really hard…but that’s not always the case! Sometimes, if you just go with the flow – more like the Zen thing – that things work out much better, because you know they’re going to, and a lot of people have that attitude that they’re waiting for the other shoe to drop…they’re not using their imaginations for good things because they’re imagining bad things, like “Ooh, what’s going to happen next?” instead of “everything’s going to be awesome, this is great!” and imagining all the good things that could happen.
In my opinion, when people are concerned about what their purpose is – really, your purpose is to be the best version of you. This means that if you do things in your life with purpose and you take consistent steps of action towards your goals, using your time – efficiently and effortlessly if possible – you won’t exhaust yourself with these thoughts that are not benefitting.
